Up and coming jazz bassist Cole Davis comes to Bates for a concert and to work with students.
Cole Davis has come to prominence on the New York jazz scene in the past several years. He has become known for his creativity, clarity and technique; in addition to several albums he also has a series etudes and technique books to help students "unlock" thumb position (the term for when a string player places their whole left hand on top of the strings). Join in-person or virtually to watch Cole's theories in practice.
