Join Columbus Gives Back and Columbus Recreation & Parks for a fall harvest event for youth and adults who are blind or visually impaired What: Volunteers will assist participants with hiking, pumpkin carving, snacks, and more. Where: Ottawa Lodge, McKnight Outdoor Education Center, 3200 Indian Village Rd, Columbus, OH 43221 When: Wednesday, October 20th (4/4:30pm - 7pm) Event Leaders: [email protected] COVID-19 Precautions: Columbus Gives Back is following all recommended social / hygiene protocols. Masks are no longer required for outdoor events but please bring one to the event in case our nonprofit partners require them. Masks and social distancing are still required for all indoor events. If you were exposed before or test positive after having participated in a CGB event, please contact the event leader or reach out to [email protected] so that we can best support contact tracing efforts. About the Paralympic Sports Club: The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, Therapeutic Recreation, sponsors recreational activities that are modified to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. Therapeutic Recreation enhances an individual's physical, social, and lifetime recreational interests in a broad spectrum of leisure experiences. Therapeutic Recreation welcomes and encourages everyone, including the non-disabled, to participate. About Columbus Gives Back: We love Columbus, young professionals, and getting involved! Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of May 1st, outdoor/patio social twists will be coordinated at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers.
