Description

Lunch Break Movement & Mindfulness Meditation The goal of a Mindful Movement & Meditation class is to get you out of your head and into your body. You'll learn different self care and movement practices that help decrease pain & stress and increase mobility and feelings of relaxation. Every class starts with a breathwork exercise and ends with a seated meditation and mini Yomassage® experience. During class you'll learn some basic education about the body; how we're put together, how we should function and what happens after an injury. When it's time for the movement portion of class you'll be reminded to move slowly and mindfully so you can begin to bring awareness to the subtle layers you just learned about. Movement & Meditation studies include: Yoga, Tai Ji, Range of Motion, Corrective Exercise, Calisthenics and Qigong. Every class ends with a Mindfulness Meditation. **COVID CONSCIOUS CLASS: Individuals with proof of vaccination may choose to attend class without a mask, if you are unable to provide documentation you will be required to wear a mask.Expect a temperature check upon arrival. All props are sanitized before and after class. Props are for individual use to prevent and cross contamination. If you are feeling sick or have come in contact with someone who has COVID please stay home. You can email [email protected] if you need to reschedule. Megan believes everyone deserves to have a calm mind, balanced body and resilient spirit. How do we achieve this? Through mindful movement, regular meditation and building community with like minded individuals. Classes with Megan will incorporate a combination of different movement practices (Yoga, Tai Ji, Corrective Exercises, Range of Motion, Calisthenics, etc.), Pranayama (Breathwork), Meditation and Education on Anatomy, Physiology & Kinesiology. Creating a class with all these ingredients will help participants begin to understand: how their bodies are put together, why they feel pain, what they can do to self-sooth or correct discomforts, how they can prevent or recover from injury and build a deeper awareness of their own individual Mind-Body-Spirit connection.
