Description
A training for those pursuing designation as Board-Approved MFT Supervisors in the states of Kansas and Missouri. Join Michelle Worley and Nathan Croy as they guide you through navigating the path to becoming a supervisor. Utilizing an existential lens, participants will create their own unique roadmap for supervision that answers the questions, "Where am I, where do I want to go, and what direction am I heading". We believe that asking ourselves these questions at the start of your journey as clinical supervisor provides us with a richer experience and with a map of how to get back on track as needed. Developed around both Kansas and Missouri clinical supervisor training requirements, participants of this training will lean into topics such as: Models of supervision Best practices in supervisionKansas and Missouri statutes & regulations Creating your own personal philosophy of supervisionStructuring supervisionCreating a supervision contractLogistics of Supervision (paperwork, documentation, etc.)Significant time will also be spent learning to navigate the state licensure board websites so that you will be prepared to guide your post-grad supervisees along the way. Each participant will receive a thorough electronic supervison manual with sample documents of many of the forms you will use with supervisees along with FAQ's and other helpful tools pertinent to the practice of supervision. About Your Trainers: Michelle Worley is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist and AAMFT Designated Supervisor and the owner of Great Oaks Therapy Center. She has dedicated much of her career to training new therapists in the pursuit of clinical licensure and development of their own private practices. In her clinical practice, Michelle is primarily oriented to Internal Family Systems theory and incorporates that in both her clinical practice of therapy and in her supervision practice. For those who find the Enneagram helpful, Michelle is a proud "7" and calls upon many strengths in that to bring lighthearted energy into the training space. Although Missouri will not pre-approve trainings, they have approved this training previously with other attendees. If you have any questions about this, please do not hestitate to reach out! Schedule for the event is 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM both Friday and Saturday (October 29 and 30, 2021) with a 45 minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks offered daily. All registrees will receive an electronic supervision manual as described above. Please register by October 27, 2021 to ensure receipt of manual prior to the training dates. Cost of the two-day training is $850 which includes both training days and supervision manual. As needed, attendees may request a payment plan for the cost of the training. Additional fees may apply depending upon method of payment. A note about metasupervision. Both Kansas and Missouri require some metasupervision (supervision of supervision) to be documented and attested to as part of the overall training requirements to become a state board approved clinical supervisor. Kansas requires 8 hours of metasupervision, Missouri requires 20 hours of metasupervision. Both Michelle and Nathan are able to provide that as needed. Cost for individual or dyad supervision is $150 per hour (can be split between two people). Cost for group supervision (at least 3 people) is $100 per person for a 2-hour group. Attendees of this 2-day training receive 25% off group supervision. Great Oaks Therapy Center is a private group therapy practice located in the Westport area of Kansas City. GOTC aims to create space where therapy is accessible for all and training of therapists takes a central seat in the mission of the organization.
