The Guardsmen are hosting the 2nd annual Great Chili Cook Off at the Pumpkin Patch at Fort Mason 10/17 - 11AM - 2PM Join The Guardsmen for the 2nd annual The Great San Francisco Chili Cook-Off on Sunday, October 17th from 11AM – 2PM! This year's cookoff will be at The Guardsmen Pumpkin Patch at Fort Mason! A family friendly atmosphere hosted at The Guardsmen Pumpkin Patch at Fort Mason. Enjoy craft beers, cocktails, football, family picture area and chili from our competing teams. Ticket includes chili, 1 complimentary beer or 1 hot dog. Date: Sunday, October 18th, 2021 Hours: 11AM - 2PM Location: Fort Mason - Guardsmen Pumpkin Patch Tickets: $20 The Pumpkin Patch will be adhering to CDC guidelines and will be taking precautions to make the event as safe as possible. All food preparation will comply with health and safety guidelines. THE BEST PART:All proceeds from this event support The Guardsmen, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving kids from low-income families. Since 1947, The Guardsmen has supported Bay Area youth by providing indoor and outdoor education through its Campership and Scholarship Programs. The Guardsmen is a non-profit organization dedicated to changing the lives of at-risk youth across the Bay Area. Each year, we send more than 2,500 youth to summer camps and provide scholarships for more than 250 students to attend K-12 private schools .  Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? There is no age limit for general admission.  IDs will be required to purchase or consume alcohol. What is the refund policy? As we are a charity, tickets are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your tickets to a friend using Eventbrite. What's The Guardsmen's IRS status and the Fair Market Value of the event?The Guardsmen is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation registered under Taxpayer Identification Number 94-1196194. In exchange for this ticket purchase and/or donation, you received goods and services of $16.92 , inclusive of sales tax, for GA, $0 for donation. Are there any other restrictions to enter event? No outside food or beverage will be allowed in. The Guardsmen is a group of Bay Area men mobilizing their significant talents and resources to enhance and improve the lives of at-risk youth. This all-volunteer organization, founded in 1947, provides access to high-quality educational and outdoor activities for inner-city youth.  The opportunities created through The Guardsmen's scholarship and campership programs mean that every year kids who otherwise would not have a chance at success are given the opportunity to excel as productive members of society. Each year The Guardsmen sends 2,500 youth to outdoor education programs and provides scholarship support to more than 250 students at Bay Area private schools. The Guardsmen is committed to making sure that fundraising dollars are spent wisely, with the greatest need and highest returns always in mind. In fact, approximately 90 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to support programs for kids. x (x)
