Several Dine foods will be shared including Navajo steamed corn and lamb stew (Neeshjhizhii), with a squash and corn vegetarian option.
The event is limited to 25 people and will be held mostly outdoors at the Stanford community farm
Dr. De Vore will be screening a short documentary about creating space for Indigenous research protocols in the earth and environmental sciences. She provides insight from her traditional and professional experience on how Indigenous Knowledge can be used in academic spaces. Cherie is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in Scott Fendorf’s research group in Earth Systems.
