Description

We do love our golf at Shared Voices...so what better way to enjoy some stuttering hangout time than a round of mini-golf? The weather is getting cooler but there is still time to enjoy our city outdoors before the winter sets in! Join us on Saturday, October 9th for an all-ages round of mini-golf. We will be meeting at the recently renovated Douglass 18 mini golf course. The course itself was recently renovated with a grand opening this August. The entire course was designed by local Chicago teens, working in collaboration with community partners to create a sustainable and educational scheme focused on local and migratory birds that pass through the park's ecosystem. Learn more about the Douglass 18 here: https://news.wttw.com/2021/08/05/new-mini-golf-course-opening-douglass-park-and-its-design-birds Schedule of events10:30 - 11:00: Arrival and check-in 10:45 - 12:15: Mini golf with your group! 12:15 - 1:00: Snacks and hangout in the park For those who are competitively-oriented, we will have a "tournament" option and prizes available! The mission of Shared Voices is to create a shared community for people impacted by stuttering, through programming, resources, education, and outreach. Shared Voices’ vision is that people who stutter will speak authentically and confidently in their professional and personal lives, without fear of judgment or barriers to success.
