Description

This class covers engine company, truck work, and incident command functions when operating with limited staffing. This class will cover short staffed fireground operations that firefighters needs to be proficient in when help isn't coming soon. HOT scenarios will include props, roleplayers, and live fire. We will cover skills including engine company, truck work, and incident command to give students the ability to overcome common issues and be more efficent on the fireground with less. Engine topics include: Pump OpsHoseline selection and deploymentFire attackOverhaulTruck topics include: Ladder deploymentSearch/VES under live fireVentilation (vertical, horizontal, PPV)Aerial placement Incident Command topics include: Tactical prioritiesAccountabilityRadio communicationsEvaluating changing conditionsSnacks, lunch, and drinks will be provided on site. ***FULL PPE REQUIRED***
