Description

Learn to create a book that evokes layers, depth, and perspective. In this class students will learn to create a "Tunnel Book." Tunnel books were historically a pop-up book meant to show moments in history, stories and plays, and everyday life of favorite spots around the world. In this class students will learn the fundamental structures to creating a tunnel book: how to build the accordion sides, attach the stages, and build and line a cover. At the end of this class, students will have the knowledge to create Tunnel books with their own artwork and designs. Materials are provided for this class. No previous bookbinding knowledge is required. This is an IN-PERSON class. As such the following COVID protocols will be in place: Masks will be worn by all visitors to the shop. ***This is not optional***Physical distancing of six feet at all times. All surfaces cleaned after use.All students will sign in with name and contact info.______________________________________________________________________________________ This class is taught by Mel Hewitt.
