HANDYMAN “GIG” POSITION About Us We own about 25 rental units in SE and SW Cape Coral. We believe in being fair, and treating people with respect. We pay our handyman immediately, (same day if you prefer) and we can always be reached quickly by phone or text. “Gig” Position Available Handyman We will call you when a repair or maintenance issue comes up. You will be told what the job is, and when we need it completed by. If you are available within this timeframe, you get the job. If you are not available, or you feel the job is outside of your skillset – then we call the next handyman on our list. This is not regularly scheduled work. Sometimes we have a lot of little repairs come up all at once. On occasion we do entire updates. Sometimes there are no repairs needed for several days in a row. This is a great opportunity for the semi-retired, or someone who has a steady job, but is also looking to supplement their income on their days off, or before/after work. You can easily get 10-15 hours per month of side work from us – depending on your availability. Qualifications • Must have reliable transportation, and your own tools. • Must be well versed in handyman work. This includes, but is not limited to: o Basic electrical (installing ceiling fans, light fixtures, and occasional trouble shooting) o Basic plumbing (installing toilets, replacing toilet parts, water shut off valves, faucets, drain cleaning, and hot water tank replacement) • Must be polite and courteous to our tenants. • Must be dependable, and have excellent communication skills: o Call us if you are running late or need to reschedule, so that we can coordinate with the tenant. This is very important! The ideal candidate will live in Cape Coral, as your time starts when you arrive at the job site. How We Pay We pay $20 - $30/hour (depending on your level of experience) which starts at the job site, and we will always pay you for a minimum of 1 hour, even on those rare occasions when the repair only takes a few minutes. We can pay you same day, either in person or through a payment app. Of if you’d prefer, you can email the invoice to us, and we can send payment by mail. The choice is really up to you.
