The seminar topics include early detection and screening of cancers, optimizing cardiovascular health, and education on mental health. We are excited to present the First Ladies’ Health Equity Seminar at Greater Grace Church on November 6th. Fifteen First Ladies have committed their time to educate our community with critical health and wellness information. The First Ladies and partner organizations have organized to bring you one of the most significant screening events of the year. The timing for the seminar is perfect. Many people have disengaged from their health care providers due to the pandemic. In addition, the latest data show a concerning delay in diagnosis for our most curable cancers, worrisome cardiovascular trends, and a rising mental health crisis. With breast and prostate cancer awareness months underway, now is the time to educate about our most common cancers and discuss essential lifestyle interventions to promote health and wellness.  The seminar topics include early detection and screening of cancers, optimizing cardiovascular health, and education on mental health and techniques to reduce stress. The Siteman Mammography Van will offer breast cancer screenings at no charge to women who qualify. In addition, the Community Health Van will provide diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure screenings.
