WILMINGTON, MA — Tewksbury and Wilmington are no strangers to friendly rivalry, and this fall they are going head to head in a reading challenge. Wilmington Memorial Library and Tewksbury Public Library are facing off for "The Reading Cup," a trophy to be displayed in the winning library. Residents of each town can register on Beanstack to read for their library: Tewksbury or Wilmington. You can log hours spent reading on Beanstack. "WE NEED YOU," the Wilmington Library said. "Help us beat Tewksbury (it won't be hard)." The library set a community goal of 100,000 minutes. There will be weekly raffles of $25 gift cards and a $100 gift card drawing for anyone who reads for at least 3 hours. The challenge will run from Oct. 12 to Nov. 24. Christopher Huffaker can be reached at 412-265-8353 or [email protected].
