Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and Trash Turtles for the International Coastal Cleanup at Madeira Beach! It’s that time of year again! Keep Pinellas Beautiful will be partnering with the Ocean Conservancy to host the 2021 International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) with events taking place between September 1st and October 31st. This annual event brings together volunteers in coastal regions to collect, count, and document the trash they find, acting as citizen scientists all over the world. This important season of giving is invaluable in keeping litter out of our waterways and away from our beautiful Pinellas County beaches. In an effort to mitigate these issues, we encourage family, friends, and community members to come support our coastal communities. With your assistance, we'll make our coast a more beautiful place to live, work and play! Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and the Trash Turtles for a cleanup on Saturday, October 30th. Registration begins at 7:30 AM. We're excited to see you there! *** WHEN: Saturday, October 30th from 7:30 AM to 10:30am. WHERE TO MEET: Meet at Archibald Park (15100 Gulf Blvd, Madeira Beach, FL 33708) WHERE TO PARK: The Municipal Parking Lot WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear closed toed shoes and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend a hat or sunglasses too. For the safety of our volunteers and staff, masks are encouraged. WHAT TO EXPECT: All cleanup supplies are provided including pickers, reusable gloves, trash bags, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and bug spray.
