Participants will learn how to detect citrus black spot, be given management recommendations, and learn about regulatory protocol. Citrus Black Spot is a fungal disease that has been found in five SW Florida counties. This disease has the potential to continue moving north through the citrus growing region. This workshop will focus on proper identification and detection of citrus black spot, management recommendations, and regulatory procedures in place for this disease. Workshop Agenda: 8:30am - Registration Check-in 9:00am - Opening Remarks 9:10am - Recognizing symptoms, scouting, and management 10:15am - Disease Identification Exercise 10:30am - Break 10:45am- Current Status and Potential Impacts of CBS 12:00pm - Lunch Continuing Education Units: CEUs for Restricted Use Pesticide licenses have been requested, still pending approval. CEUs for Certified Crop Advisors will be available for 3 credits in Integrated Pest Management.
