On Saturday, October 16th, Wayne Ripple Effect will host their 2021 Scarecrow Reception in Derby’s Alley located at 34924 W Michigan Avenue. On Saturday, October 16th, Wayne Ripple Effect will host their 2021 Scarecrow Reception in Derby’s Alley located at 34924 W. Michigan Avenue, between Puffer Reds & Baker’s Acre. The event is from 1-3 PM and will feature our People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice Scarecrow Contest, free cider & donuts from the Dexter Cider Mill, music, and games! Scarecrow Voting Participants can pick up a ballot and take a walking tour through downtown Wayne. Once you've viewed all of the entries, rejoin us at the Reception to vote for your favorite scarecrow while enjoying some complimentary refreshments. The scarecrow that receives the most votes will be awarded our People’s Choice award. We will also announce the winners of the Facebook Contest & Judge’s Choice awards. Come by to vote, stay for the fun! In addition to our scarecrow contest, there will be a number of other activities happening in Derby’s Alley from 1-3 PM, including music , games, and free cider & donuts. Wayne Ripple Effect is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization. We are a positive force working with our community, business, and property owners to preserve, enhance, and promote our historic downtown as a vibrant destination for residents and visitors to gather, shop, work, and enjoy.
