Press release from the City of Aventura: October 6, 2021 The City is pleased to announce its annual Aventura Star talent competition on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the annual Founders Day celebration. The brightest performing artists of all ages are welcome to apply by October 22. Singers, actors, musicians, dancers, magicians, circus acts, or specialty acts are invited to participate as an individual or in a group of no more than five.  "We're excited to provide Aventura artists with a platform and community to showcase their talent at our annual Founders Day celebration," said Community Services Director, Kimberly Merchant. Details & Application Performances are limited to three minutes and original or published material may be performed.  All accompanying music must be dropped off at the Community Recreation Center on a compact disc (CD) by Wednesday, October 27, 2021.  Each contestant (individual or group member) must be an Aventura resident and is required to complete an application form online at cityofaventura.com/ors, the City's Online Registration System. All members of a group act must place their group name on their individual application form. Applications are due by Friday, October 22, 2021. Once all of the applications are submitted, contestants will receive an email from the City's Community Recreation Center confirming their scheduled performance time on the day of the competition.  The Aventura Star competition will be held on Founders Day, November 7, 2021 at Founders Park, 3105 N.E. 188 Street. The event is free and open to the public.
