Description

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Framingham and Patch will co-host a live forum Wednesday night featuring the two candidates running for the open District 7 City Council seat. Leora Mallach and Magda Janus were the top two vote-getters in the four-way Sept. 14 primary. Mallach came out ahead with 244 votes to Janus' 126. One of them will replace Margareth Shepard, the two-term District 7 Councilor who announced her retirement from City Council in May. Wednesday's forum will be the fifth hosted by the LWV and Framingham Patch since the primary. Over the weekend, the LWV hosted mayoral candidates Charlie Sisitsky and incumbent Yvonne Spicer; District 3 candidates MK Feeney and incumbent Adam Steiner; District 2 candidates Jake Binnall and incumbent Cesar Stewart-Morales; and District 5 candidates Noval Alexander and Cheryl Gordon, who are competing for the seat being vacated by Councilor Robert Case. You can watch the District 7 forum live beginning at 7 p.m. on the LWV Framingham Facebook page.
