BELLEVUE, WA — The Bellevue Police Department is urging neighbors to make sure their doors are locked and valuables secured after a rash of thefts reported overnight. In a social media post Thursday morning, police said the crime spree included six car prowls, three residential burglaries and one stolen car. For the home burglaries, police said a suspect used garage door openers to access three different houses west of Tam O'Shanter in Northeast Bellevue. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence and investigate each case. Neighbors are encouraged to call in anything suspicious and take a few steps to lower their risk of becoming a target.
