WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two armed men entered a house in Woodbridge early Thursday morning, struck three of the residents with a gun and fired a round into a wall before leaving the residence, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The police said the incident does not appear to be random. At about 3:20 a.m. Thursday, police officers went to a house in the 2300 block of West Longview Dr. in Woodbridge to investigate the home invasion. A resident of the home, a 57-year-old man, reported to police that he was asleep when he woke to his dog barking. When the resident opened his bedroom door, he saw one of the intruders who carried a firearm. The suspect demanded money from the resident and his wife, a 31-year-old woman, before striking both of them with the gun. At the same time, a second suspect went into the basement where he showed a gun and demanded money from two other residents of the home, a 41-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman. At one point, the suspect struck the man with his gun before firing a round into a wall. After the shot was fired, both suspects fled the residence on foot. The police determined the two suspects, described as Hispanic men in their early to mid-20s, entered the home through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. Four children, ages 6 to 15, were asleep inside the residence at the time of the incident and were not injured. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects, who were not found. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing from the home. The suspects are described as about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and were wearing all black clothing. Anyone with information about the home invasion is asked to contact the Prince William County Police Department tipline at 703-792-7000 or submit a webtip to: pwcva.gov/policetip.
