Here are the top stories today in Buffalo: After being accused of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend, Shane Casado is walking free.Back in November 2018, Casado had been accused of killing 22-year-old Rachael Wierzbicki outside a home on Edson Street in south Buffalo. Casado, who was 24 at the time, was charged with second-degree murder. In a wrongful death lawsuit filed earlier this year, Wierzbicki's parents named both Casado and his grandmother. (WIVB.com - News 4) A Buffalo school student is suspended after the district confirmed the child brought a taser onto a school bus. In a statement, a spokesperson said the nine-year-old will be suspended in line with the district's Code of Conduct for potentially causing harm to others. Restorative justice support will be provided to help the unnamed student understand the seriousness of their actions.
