1. The covid vaccine is extremely effective. But no vaccine is 100%. 2. The vaccine will prevent people from getting full blown covid, but the vaccine does n to prevent a vaccinated person fro m transmitting the virus to non vaccinated people. 3. The,makes works much the same way. Masks do not prevent every case of covid but they reduce the risk dramatically. It's all about reducing risk. Like condoms. Not 100% effective but they do dramatically reduce the risk. Good news though. Mask mandates will be lifted in CA for any county that has achieved an 80% vaccination rate. Most counties in CA are already there. The ones that are not will continue to be required to wear masks.
