ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports: Domestic disturbances Kerri A. Crawley, 41, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 2 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of North Michigan on a charge of domestic battery. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, Crawley spit on a man and scratched his wrists and arms. A domestic disturbance happened about 10 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of Hillside Avenue. A person locked another person out of the house. A domestic disturbance happened about 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of East Grand Avenue. A man said he wanted to have his girlfriend removed from the house. There were no signs of injury to the man or his girlfriend. They were asked to avoid each other for the rest of the night. Distracted customer A wallet was stolen from a purse of a customer at Whole Foods, 2155 South Route 83. It happened about noon Wednesday. Video surveillance shows the suspect engaged the victim in conversation, forced her way between the victim and her shopping cart and concealed the victim's wallet in her waistband. The victim received a fraud alert about a purchase that was attempted but denied. The victim canceled her credit cards and was advised by an officer to monitor her accounts. The suspect was described as a black woman, 5-foot-4, 160 pounds, having long black hair, and wearing a yellow baseball cap and black pants with gold metallic trim on the side. Intoxicated customer A person at Buffalo Wild Wings, 149 N. York St., was found by police to be highly intoxicated about 7:30 p.m. Monday. The person was taken to the hospital. Screaming on Salt Creek Trail A person was heard screaming about 3 a.m. Tuesday on the Salt Creek Trail. The person was screaming incoherently and admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking crack cocaine. The person was taken to the hospital. Burglary in plumber's garage Someone broke into the garage at Magic Plumber, 280 W. Lake St., and stole a mini excavator overnight Monday. An investigation is pending. Fraudulent time-share A resident in the 300 block of Sunnyside Avenue purchased a fraudulent time-share. A suspect informed the resident he owed taxes on the time-share. The resident wired the money to the suspect before he realized he was being scammed. Car burglaries at business Four people said their vehicles were burglarized between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday in the business parking garage at McMaster-Carr, 600 County Line Road. The windows of three of the cars were smashed to gain access. The other car was unlocked. The stolen items included a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 9mm handgun, a Nike duffel bag containing workout clothing, a DeWalt bag containing several hand tools and a Milwaukee portable radio. Theft at hospital A woman at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, told police she left her purse unattended at her desk about 6 p.m. Wednesday. A short while later, she discovered someone took her debit card, credit cards, driver's license and insurance cards from her wallet. The suspect was described as a black woman, 40 to 45 years old, having short black hair and wearing a white dress with a floral pattern. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
