Description
DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — A mural of Suni Lee, gold medal Olympian from Dakota County, went up in Saint Paul's West Side, 5 Eyewitness News reported.
Lee's grandparents own the store that the mural was painted on and hired a local artist, Mwene Kajunju, who goes by MK, to paint the mural, according to the report.
Lee's gold-winning performance, and her other medal wins, inspired many Minnesotans, especially those in the Hmong community. She is the first Hmong American to make the U.S. Olympic team.
