STRONGSVILLE, OH — The continued threat of COVID-19 has led to the cancellation of a planned open house at a Strongsville fire station.
Station 4 was meant to host an open house on Sunday. However, given the spread of the virus statewide and locally, the fire department has decided to cancel the event, the city announced on Thursday.
"The department is always looking for ways to educate the public about fire safety and prevention, but made the decision to cancel the open house to protect the health of the public and firefighters," the city said on social media.
