LEARN TO PAINT - Weekly classes at my home studio in Annapolis, MD - Beginner to Advanced Students JOIN MY WEEKLY OIL/PASTEL PAINTING CLASS on Thursdays from 11:30 to 1:30.... This class teaches a structured approach to learning to paint with a lot of individual attention. The class teaches students fundamentals of painting such as composition, color theory, color mixing, value, value relationships, painting form, brushwork, and handling edges. Classes are structured into 13 week sessions. However students can join at any time and the cost will be prorated. About Me: I am an award winning, professional artist and art instructor who has been painting and teaching for over 30 years. I studied at American University, Schuler School of Art, Art League of Alexandria, and privately with several, outstanding, award winning artists. I teach painting in a structured approach with emphasis on painting form, seeing value relationships, composition, color, and color mixing, I am honored to be a copyist at The National Gallery of Art (DC), a juried member of the Maryland Society of Portrait Painters, the Pastel Society of Maryland, and the Portrait Society of America.
