Alpha-Lit Los Angeles TITLE: Event Assistant INDUSTRY: Events & Entertainment PAY: Average $100 - $300 per event JOB TYPE: Part-time, flexible hours LOCATION: Ventura/Los Angeles SUMMARY Our event assistant positions will be fully hands-on during events of all shapes and sizes across Los Angeles county. They are responsible to load up marquee letters from the inventory site in Ventura county and deliver to events taking place in LA. A personal vehicle is required, gas mileage is covered within pay. As our event assistant, you are the face of our brand and we expect you to remain professional with a positive attitude. Assistants may be scheduled solo or in pairs depending on the size of the event. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Event assistants are responsible for delivery, set up, and tear down of Alpha-Lit Los Angeles Marquee Letters Assistants are responsible to pick up inventory and return it in a timely manner with no damages Expected to utilize event checklist before and after event set ups Assists in taking photos of completed set up at each event Must return letters in organized fashion to inventory site same day as the event pick up REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Valid driver's license & good driving record Personal transportation of small SUV or larger size Must be able to lift 20lbs and be on your feet for multiple hours Must have previous customer service experience and strong communication skills Able to evaluate issues and identify solutions quickly PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in the events industry preferred, but not required HOURS One of the many bonuses about working for Alpha-Lit Los Angeles is the flexibility of your schedule! A majority of events will take place Friday - Sunday. Occasionally, events take place on weekday evenings. We are looking for individuals for both day shifts (event set ups) and night shifts (event pickups) Work Environment We absolutely love working events at Alpha-Lit Los Angeles, but we know it takes a certain type of person! We are lucky to set up at some of the most beautiful homes and venues in Los Angeles, for some of the most high end clients. We also set up on beaches, at parks, or even the front yard of your neighbors house! Regardless of the status of our client, we always remain professional, excited, and ready to light up each event with enthusiasm. While what we do is fun, it is not always as easy as it looks! We are looking for candidates who are prompt, punctual, and detail oriented. We need team members who are prepared to get down and dirty and do whatever it takes to make the client happy. Sometimes we are working with a short time frame and have back to back events we need to set up for. We MUST be on time and pay attention to the delivery schedule! Working with people is difficult, and we do it all day long. We need individuals who are fast learners and very customer service focused.
