Description

LITE Plus is a study looking at how stress and stigma shape health outcomes for transgender women, and we are currently recruiting new participants in the Washington, DC area. If you are a transgender woman over 18 years of age, please contacting our study staff at the Whitman-Walker Institute to see if you are eligible for LITE Plus. If eligible, you will participate in LITE Plus for 2 years with study visits every 6 months. Study visits include surveys, clinical measures (height, weight, and waist circumference), a blood draw, and (for eligible participants) an analysis of stress hormones found in your saliva (spit), which participants will collect at home over 2 days. Each study visit is compensated at least $50, and participants can earn up to $450 over the 2 year study. We hope you consider contacting study staff at Whitman-Walker to see if you are eligible for LITE Plus. Your participation would help us learn more about the role that stress and stigma play in the health of transgender women. If you are interested, please get in touch with us by: 1.
