Magabillies are all untrustworthy rural types who grew up not trusting anyone because there were only other untrustworthy magabillies all around them. They cheat on their taxes, cheat on their wives, cheat the companies they work for by lying about the hours they worked, and then go to church on Sunday and think how much better they are than city folk. So when a city scumbag who everyone knew was as crooked as they come, they could relate. They assume everyone in government can't be trusted. Someone who was so open about cheating on his own taxes, on his own wives, and in hos own businesses was at least being open about being a total crook. So it's the complete dishonesty in Trump that makes them believe he's just like them.
