Description
I am looking to rehome my hedgehog. He is about 2 years old…. He needs to go to a home that is familiar with hedgehogs. When we got him, we were told he was friendly but needed time to warm up. That was a year ago, and he still hasn’t warmed up. I don’t believe we interact with him enough. He does not bite, he just stays balled up with his spikes prickled out. I break out in hives the moment I touch him which makes it very difficult to give him a bath, however he does seem to do quite well with baths. He is housed in a double ferret nation cage that is divided into 2. I cannot separate that cage, so he will not come with it. But we do have a small one level cage that I can send with him if needed. He will come with all of his blankets that I’ve gotten for him, his custom wheel, remaining food that I have (he eats purina one chicken blend cat food), food bowl, and some toys. You will need a water bottle. Hedgehogs do not do well in cold weather, so if you are going to be keeping him below 74-75, you will need a heat lamp as well. We are asking a rehoming fee for all supplies, & him to ensure he will be going to a good home. Please be knowledgeable on hedgehogs, as he is not the “cute cuddly” type of pet that people are going to think he is.
