Description
Please do not inquire about this dog until you have read all of the info I have provided. Thank you. :-) We have a dog(kinda of still puppy, 14 months old), he is a Great Pyrenees with a little splash of maremma(if I remember right, his Grandpa was 1/4 Maremma.) He has been a sweet boy up until recently. we've talked to a few people and he really needs to just be out on a farm, roaming and protecting. we live on a highway on just over an acre so we can't provide him with that. He needs more space and a job. He is so sweet but will not tolerate the groomer, tolerates me alright to do nails with lots of treats and patience. He is good with the kiddos and other dogs, leaves the cats and chickens alone. Growls at us when we kennel him for being naughty, which is usually when he doesn't come back when called or eats off the table- that issue would be fixed if he were an outside dog. He goes into his kennel just fine for when we leave or at night for bedtime.. its just when he's been naughty that he growls... He's a big tall boy, up to date on all vaccines, intact, just had a bath, potty trained, kennel trained. Knows basic commands- sit, lay down(at your feet) or go lay down(will go to his bed, kennel or other place to lay down) stay isn't a good one, but if you stay he will stay. lol Rides in the car very well. LOVES popcorn, bones, watching- kids, cars, animals. Super laid back.. he has just become intolerant of being so domesticated. I will be totally transparent and honest with any questions you may have, I love him so much and want him to go to someone that can provide him what he needs- space, love and a "job" of roaming and "protecting." He is such a good dog, we just can't give him all he needs so that he is able to be the best dog he can be. We are asking a rehoming fee- we have 3 massive bags of the food he is on, its a large breed puppy food to make sure he didn't grow too fast (that leads to bad joints and other health issues down the road) it's $48/bag. He will come with a few toys, he prefers sticks and bones so he doesn't have many toys. He will come with a leash, his pinch collar(he is 100+ pounds is a dream to walk when he has the collar on!) he has a regular collar and will come with some treats and other misc. dog items. $150 for dog+food, $200 for dog+ food+ kennel. Thanks for reading all I can think to add right now. I am happy to answer all questions, arrange a meeting( I would like to do that at your property so we can see that you have the space he needs.)
