According to a new Gallup poll, 41% of Americans are registered as "independent voters". 29% are registered as Democrats 29% are registered as Republicans. What does this mean? It means our two party system is becoming irrelevant. People are voting for people and issues rather than parties. 6 independent governors have been elected in the last 20 years. Political parties divide our nation. The two party system only serves politicians. There is no benefit to a two party system for citizens. A two party system is a way for politicians tom "control" the herd. Divide and conquer. Feel feee to vote conservative or progressive. Your political views can remain the same. But denouncing a political party will lead to MORE viable candidates at any given election. More choices is good. Freedom to choose is a good thing.
