Wanted: Compressor Truck Operator for filling tanks for a dive boat. Duties include driving a pump truck from Kihei to Maalaea and back to pump scuba tanks several afternoons a week at Maalaea Harbor. Daily shifts start around noon, with the need for additional late afternoon or late evening shifts a couple of times a month. Required to keep vehicle and compressor gassed up and complete filter and oil changes for compressor. Typical shift duration is about 4 hours. While the tanks are pumping, additional duties may include boat wipe down, putting away equipment once it is dry, and other misc. tasks. Applicants should be mechanically inclined, detail oriented, able to lift, load, and transport tanks, and have a clean drivers abstract. Good communication with the owner and the ability to stay motivated while mostly working alone are also desirable traits. Certified Diver experience a positive but not required - you are eligible for boat dive perks once probationary period has been completed. Looking for someone to work at least 5 shifts a week, and open to determining which days these are. We are also flexible when you need to change a day here and there. All applicants are welcome, and this position is perfect for a retired person in good physical condition and with a good mechanical aptitude.
