County does not care for the majority of us

Read the letter on the garden island website. The Kauakmi does not care about the majority of us on Kauai. He is only concerned about the business owners. They are unwilling to talk to the common folks, but will meet in person if you have enough money or open a business. Look at kauakami. He hangs with the zuckerburge. Who in turn hates poor and common people. It is rubbing off on our already greedy Derek. Kauakami is the guy who took over his dads business and then sold it to become mayor. He meets 2 times a month with the council members and did nothing but stay home and dance while the island did actual work. One picture I saw He didn’t wear a mask when regular people got shamed for doing it.the next days corona spreaded like wildfire. He was telling people to stay home. Easy to say when you get paid no matter what. In the end kauakami only looks out for himself. If the island “ without kauakami” didn’t actually do what the rest of the world was doing and wear mask and stay home it would be much worse. If it actually got bad he would sell us like he did his dads business. In one letter from him he acts like he grew the business himself. When I’m reality he just waited for his dad to pass so he could sell it and become mayor off his dads name. I mean look now. He’s building a horse stable with covid funds for the rich side of the island. Look at all the road work that goes into the north shore and east side. He’s spent years fixing Lihue making round abouts for a place that doesn’t even have its offices open. It’s rich vs poor now a days. And when I say rich I don’t mean people making $70 k a year. I’m taking about anyone without a few houses on the island and mainland with over $3.000.000 in assets. I say assets because rich people avoid taxes by having assets. Their cars and other luxury’s are paid by tax write offs and “company” expenses. We suffer while the rich flourish!
