Presented by Attorney Caitlin Madden Social Media and Employment: Advice for Employees, Employers, and Practitioners This presentation will address the intersecting rights of employees and employers with respect to the use of social media. As technology continues to adapt, courts must determine how to apply state and federal laws to these new platforms for expression. This presentation will consider the obligations and rights of employers with respect to social media, and the rights of employees to use these platforms for organization and self-expression. Caitlin Madden is a senior associate attorney at Hawks Quindel, S.C., where she represents employees in wage and hour, discrimination, and general employment matters. She taught Labor & Employment at UW Law School as an adjunct professor in the Spring 2021 semester.
