It is a well established fact, that Shabbat afternoon is where memories are made. About the Cholent: This cholent recipe has been handed down from generation to generation in rabbi Shmuly's family. He added a few twists of his own to the venerable methods and ingredients, amongst them adding facon (kosher beef bacon) and ribs into the delicious stew. Additionally, he finds that pairing ice cold beers, ales & peaty whiskeys with the cholent equals the ultimate combination. This event is in memory of Rabbi Shmuly's grandmother, Miriam bas Reb Alter Mordechai. She was a Holocaust survivor and a very special woman. She is the source to the special secret Artisan Cholent recipe.
