Boothe is a singer-songwriter. Born in Mesa, Arizona, raised in the music capitol: Nashville, Tennessee, where he was heavily influenced by his Uncle and Aunt (both who are working singers and musicians; both of great talent and caliber), where he was shown a variety of music ranging from old blues standards, rock n' roll, rock n' soul, country and western, contemporary rock, jazz, roots, just to name a few. Growing up he would hear the soulful music coming from the radio inside his grandmother's beauty shop, where he would spend most of his days at that time, listening to many of the Stax and MoTown artists such as Marvin Gaye, Blues Brothers, Otis Redding, Staple Singers, Isaac Hayes, Sam & Dave, Booker T. and The Mg's, Carla Thomas, William Bell, and many more. Jon E. Boothe has written countless songs. A songwriter of eclectic tastes and versatilities. He has written songs for weddings, he's also written jingles for different companies. One notable being for Bon Ton's Cafe, which is located in Old Colorado City, CO. Currently Jon E. Boothe and The NightWatch are one of the busiest and sought after musical groups in Colorado. Mary and the Pharaoh is a collaboration between guitarist JJ Murphy and fiddle player and vocalist Deirdre McCarthy. As a composer and a guitarist,  J.J. Murphy brings a soulful vitality to contemporary music.  His sound is a contemplative blend of jazz, blues, and folk -often channeling modern luminaries such as Bill Frisell and Ry Cooder while evoking music from the traditional American vernacular. Frequent collaborator Ryan Connors (Dynamo) defines  Murphy's style as “the blues-inspired rawness of Eric Clapton with the jazz vocabulary and sensitivity of Bill Frisell.” Murphy earned an M.M. in  performance from Belmont University in Nashville in 2014, where he studied with guitarist/composer Mike Valeras.  Murphy has traveled the country, playing venues large and small—from NYC’s historic Rockwood Music Hall to Nashville’s legendary 3rd & Lindsley—captivating audiences with his versatile style.  Since 2019, J.J. has been performing alongside the most amazing Deirdre McCarthy, best known as the multi-talented fiddle player and vocalist from one of Colorado’s best known acts, Woodshed Red. Deirdre is a classically trained violinist and fiddle player from Maryland. Her authentic vocals, and personal style of violin playing, along with JJ's dynamic grooves, and the liveliness and drive of percussion results in each performance become a unique and captivating journey. JJ also plays in a unique low, open tuning, making this trio a truly one of a kind sound. Rocky Mountain Highway Music Collaborative is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2013 to showcase talented musicians and songwriters from the Pikes Peak region and introduce audiences to exciting new artists from around the world who are making true music.  In addition to the annual MeadowGrass Music Festival held in Black Forest every Memorial Day weekend, we produce the Friend's House Concerts, and Sommerfest German Festival. https://www.rockymountainhighway.org.
