Full-Time/ Part-Time Custodian with Washington's Building Services Job Overview: You will be responsible for keeping our educational facilities safe and clean. You will work inside and outside the building doing tasks that make the school look nice and ensure it operates smoothly. To coincide with the school day you may be required to work early mornings, evenings and sometimes weekends. You may also have on occasion duties that are inclusive of the weather. You will be standing a lot so physical fitness and stamina are great qualities to have. Responsibilities and Duties: *Cleaning: This can include emptying trash cans, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing windows, etc. *Grounds Upkeep: This can include picking up trash and setting up traffic cones for carlines, etc. *Safety: This can include looking for potential hazards. For example, cracks in sidewalks or faulty chairs. You will be responsible for abiding by both institutional and governmental guidelines regarding safety measures and procedures. You will also be in charge of unlocking and locking the school upon entry and exit at the beginning and end of your shift. *Assisting Staff: You will be responsible for helping teachers and administrators perform tasks such as unloading deliveries, handling spills, moving furniture, etc. Requirements: *Must be able to pass a federal background check *Must be able to pass a drug screening *Must be vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated against COVID-19 Qualifications: *High School or Equivalent *You will learn as you go however, any experience in maintenance is a plus. *You should have great time management skills. *You should be able to work well when being unsupervised. *You should be able to lift at least 25 pounds. *You should be able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies. *You should be trustworthy. *You should be able to pay attention to details. Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8 hours per day Part-Time: Monday-Friday 4 hours per day
