If so, then beautiful Central Oregon and Juniper Golf Course are for you! FACILITY INFORMATION: Juniper Golf Course is a beautiful John Harbottle 18-hole design set in Redmond, Oregon. The golf course opened in 2005 and has spectacular views of the cascade mountains. Greens are Bent/Poa with Kentucky Bluegrass/Rye tees & fairways, Bluegrass/Fescue rough. POSITION PROFILE: The Assistant Superintendent, under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent, provides additional leadership to the Golf Course Maintenance department. This position is responsible for assisting the Golf Course Superintendent in the management of the daily activities of the golf course maintenance staff including providing supervision, training and development to the course workers and maintenance staff. Additionally, the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will aid in keeping all equipment in an efficient, operable, and safe condition and will help to assure that the department and all employees abide by the company safety program guidelines. This position assists the Golf Course Superintendent and the General Manager in the successful growth and operations of Juniper Golf Course. Experience: 3 years Golf course experience with irrigation and supervising of staff. Special: Oregon Commercial Pesticide Applicator license or ability to acquire within 8 months. Job Skills: Following is a non-inclusive list of desired skill set for this position. • Be a TEAM PLAYER • Ability to manage diverse employee population • Possess a valid Driver’s License • Mathematic, and computers skills • An understanding of agronomics related to plant health and soil management • An understanding and commitment to Environmental Management • Ability to perform golf course maintenance operational tasks • An understanding of golf course equipment operation • Ability to coordinate and perform product applications COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: $18-$25 per hour Fulltime Position.
