Visit Mission Santa Barbara In this Jubilee Year to mark the 250th anniversary of Mission San Gabriel Arcangel, founded by Saint Junipero Serra in 1771. This Jubilee Year commemorates the Church's beginnings in Los Angeles. We'll celebrate mass and have a opportunity for reconciliation. Dr. Ruben Mendoza, California Missions archeologist will present a tour of the mission. Lunch, admission to the Mission and the bus ride are included in the $55. The Mission of Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Community is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ by living out our faith in worship, service, and support of one another. We believe that each member is called to bring peace, seek unity, and reach out to our parish and the local community. We celebrate the gift of Jesus by growing in our faith and living out the mission of Servant of God Father Isaac Hecker and the Paulist Fathers.
