The Northshore Area Marine Corps League invites you to join us for this unique celebration of the Marine Corps Birthday. The annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball is a celebration of Marine Corps history and traditions. It represents where the Marine Corps started and where it is now; while giving us a glimpse of the past, present and future. Throughout the world on or around 10 November, Marines celebrate the birth of their Corps -- the most loyal, feared, revered, and professional fighting force the world has ever known. The Marine Corps League, LCpl. Justin D. McLeese Fireteam of the Choctaw Detachment 778. is proud to be bringing this special event to Northshore area for the first time! Our Ball is open to the community, veterans and active duty military it is our pleasure to share this unique event of Marine Corps history and tradition that few get to experience. Please join us in celebrating the 246th Marine Corps Birthday. Funds raised from this year’s ball will support the Northshore area Toys for Tots programs, local hurricane relief as well as other veteran causes/initiatives that promote the ideals of the Marine Corps League. ATTIRE: Traditionally the Marine Corps Ball is a black tie event. However, due to Hurricane Ida we will allow semi-formal/business formal attire. Military members should wear their branch's appropriate dress uniform. Marine Corps League members or members of other veteran organizations may wear the appropriate dress uniform for their organizations. We also encourage any veteran to appropriately wear their branches dress uniform … *No Height and Weight requirements will be enforced! MEAL: After the ceremony there will be a buffet style dinner. DRINKS: A local draft beer, water and soft drinks will be provided, please bring your own spirits. ENTERTAINMENT: Dance the night away with live music by Harvey Jesus and Fire! TOYS FOR TOTS: The Marine Corps Birthday Ball falls within the Toys for Tots season and the LCpl. Justin D. McLeese Fireteam of the Choctaw Det. Marine Corps League, will be supporting the local Toys for Tots mission. In addition to the funds raised from the ball we encourage guests to bring a new unwrapped toy. Drop off location will be near the front doors of the Lions Club. SPONSORSHIPS AVAILABLE: Does your business support veterans organizations? Gold, Silver and Bronze level sponsorships available in buy tickets section. *At this time all donations are not tax deductible. The local Marine Corps League Detachment is a 501(c)4 organization. Checks payable to the Marine Corps League The Marine Corps League, LCpl. Justin D. McLeese Fireteam of the Choctaw 778 Detachment reserves the right to adjust seating based on number of tickets sold or other special considerations. We will make every effort in such cases to keep attendees in the approximate location of the ticket number ordered and with the other guests they wish to sit with. Couples will always be kept together.
