The company is working to revolutionize the home building industry by deploying unique automation technologies combined with a deep level of robotics, people, and software integration. We are seeking a hands-on, take no prisoners, lead from the front site supervisor / project manager with years of in the trenches hands-on residential construction experience to join our team. In this role you will be handling multiple, concurrent tasks as we build out our Arizona footprint. You’ll spend time preparing our Arizona operations location for our upcoming relocation. You will periodically travel to Silicon Valley to work directly with the design, fabrication, and operations team to learn our tech, our processes, and experiencing our culture by diving in and doing. As we go to market you will take a pivotal, customer facing role as we build homes onsite using our world changing suite of industrial robotics. Who you are / what you have done: Minimum five (5) years hands on work in construction trades, including any of the following crafts; Concrete, framing, plumbing, electrical, excavation, finish carpentry, roofing, painting, stucco, metal fabrication, machine building, or closely associated hands-on manufacturing etc. - This means that you have personally done it yourself and you are not afraid to pick up a tool / shovel / hammer and do it when needed to. Ability to read and interpret plans, work instructions, building code, and customer requirement documents. - This means you can crack open that company provided laptop - pull the specs / contract / dimensions and talk to a sub-contractor and ensure that the work they are doing is per the agreement that we have in place. Demonstrated experience in a first line supervisory role. Team leader, site supervisor, etc. - This means you have been the one answering the phone when the boss called. Associates degree or better in business, technology, construction management; or demonstrated equivalent life / career experience. - This means you have spent the time either in the classroom and in the field learning. Never spent time in a classroom? That's OK - show us you have learned by doing previously. Current driver's license with clean driving record. - We have to be able to insure you on a commercial insurance policy. You should be able to safely load and secure construction items in / on a truck / on a trailer and safely maneuver truck and / or trailer in traffic and back it up on a job site. Proficient and efficient with common business software tools: Word / Excel / PowerPoint. Ability to clearly communicate, through verbal, written, and electronic means Create reports and interpret technical documents as required to drive results Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple small to medium scale projects as the same time. (Project scale ~ $50,000 - $ 500,000) Vendor management Time / task tracking Invoice / bill tracking and reconciliation Change order management Ability to work in a self-directed environment for extended periods of time - The boss will not be there most of the time - you will be expected to deliver results - not a time card. Ability to travel regionally for up to 5 days at a time - we have projects in the Phoenix / Tucson area and we have an operation in the SF Bay area - you have to be able / willing to bounce around for the first few months to get it all set up and rolling. You’ll be handed a project, a credit card, tools, and a laptop, and be expected to dive in and work starting day one.
