Nearcast is an prelaunch mobile startup in Mountain View seeking to reinvent neighborhood social networking in the age of TikTok and real time streaming. These short videos will capture inspiring moments, interesting things you observe in nature, dog walk/pets of the neighborhoods, items for sale, local events, farmers markets, local concerts, and reviews of neighborhood restaurants. We are going to launch by early January 2022 on iOS, Android, and web. We are going to launch in the cities of Mountain View, Los Altos, Menlo Park, and Palo Alto, and show product/market fit before expanding to other cities. We are looking for a consultant who has expertise administering volunteers and staff for neighborhood door-to-door canvassing campaigns. Ideal candidate will be someone who has worked on local political campaigns, and has experience using and administering mobile applications to activate neighbors to go door-to-door to place flyers, door hangers, and track responses.
