Join us for an evening of jazz with Tara Janique Jazz Trio. Tara Janique on vocals Jake Reosti on upright bass Jim Green on acoustic guitar. Tara Janique is a vocalist, arts entrepreneur, arts philanthropist, and arts educator. She’s performed on several platforms including before the president and Carnegie Hall with Alcorn State University Concert Choir. She’s served as lead vocalist in a plethora of jazz band performances. She was featured on a number of Christian artists’ recording projects. She is currently the lead jazz singer of Alvin King’s jazz band-The Fifth Connection. Her performance repertoire includes a versatile mix of jazz, Christian music and Gospel, classical, folk, r & b, and blues. Her influences are broad, from Tremaine Hawkins to Lizz Wright to Kathleen Battle. She studied music on both undergraduate and graduate levels. She’s passionate about music education and the relationship between arts and Christianity. She spends her time promoting upcoming artists in various artistic disciplines. The Peoples Room of Mobile, formerly known as “The Listening Room of Mobile” features the finest local, national, and international singer/songwriters, storytellers, and musicians in an intimate setting where both artist and audience connect in a clean, quiet, and comfortable setting. The rooms focus is on the artist. Outside distractions and talking over the artists are not allowed. We offer beer, wine, and Coca-Cola products for your enjoyment. *We are primarily a concert venue, and so while we do offer limited selection of beverages, we do not currently offer a food menu.*We are located at 78 Saint Francis St., directly across the street from the fabulous historic Battle House Hotel in downtown Mobile.We hope to see you soon!
