Youth Basketball Coaches are invited to the Lansdale Catholic Youth Basketball Coaches Clinic at Lansdale Catholic High School on October 23 Youth Basketball Coaches...this clinic is designed for you. Get ready for your upcoming season with new ideas and strategies to prepare your players and your team for success this season and beyond! Each speaker will discuss specific coaching points for youth basketball. Sessions include skill development and growth, practice drills and ideas, shooting, ball-handling, defense, footwork, rebounding and the mental aspects of basketball. There will be a Q&A opportunity at the end of each session as well. Guest speakers include: Eric Gidney - Head Coach, Girls Basketball, Lansdale Catholic High School. Led LC to the 2019-2020 District Championship and the program's furthest success in the State Championship Tournament; the quarterfinals, before Covid ended the season. Gidney enters his fourth season at LC with a record of 42-25 and is approaching 250 career wins in his coaching career. Justin Hallman - Assistant Coach, Womens Basketball, Kutztown University. Justin Hallman enters his tenth season as an assistant coach of the Kutztown University women’s basketball staff in 2021-22. Hallman assists with all aspects of the KU program, including on-floor coaching, scouting and coordinating recruiting efforts for the women’s basketball team. Marybeth Spirk - Director of Athletics and Recreation, Head Coach, Womens Basketball, Moravian College. The winningest women’s basketball coach in Moravian history, Mary Beth Spirk, finished her 34th season on the sidelines in 2020-21. Her record of 616-300 ranks her in the top 10 in the nation in victories among active Division III coaches. To say that her teams have been successful would be an understatement. Among the team’s accomplishments during her tenure are: seven Middle Atlantic Southeast titles, three Middle Atlantic South Championships, two Middle Atlantic Conference crowns, nine NCAA bids, three “Sweet 16” appearances, an ECAC Championship in 2007, and most recently the 2010 Landmark Conference Championship. Dennis Stanton - Founder, Every Level Basketball. Dennis Stanton is the Founder and Owner of Every Level Basketball, LLC. Dennis provides elite level basketball training for players of all ages and skill levels. Over the course of the past 20 years, Dennis has worked with over 20,000 different players in camps, clinics and individual workout settings. Every Level Basketball Camp was voted the Best Sports Camp in Montgomery County in both 2013 and 2014. Dennis utilizes his collegiate and professional playing experience, coupled with his high school and collegiate coaching experience, to maximize the potential of basketball players. Dennis also serves as the Athletic Director for Souderton Area High School. Guest speakers will be on the court with players from the 2021-2022 LC Girls Basketball Teams and all sessions are geared towards youth basketball grades 3-8. Clinic is open to coaches only, no student-athletes. Clinic proceeds benefit Lansdale Catholic Girls Basketball.
