Press release from Westfield Trumbull: Oct. 6, 2021 Griffin Health and Westfield Trumbull joined forces to launch a campaign to encourage more people to get vaccinated for Covid-19, which includes a sweepstakes that will give away $100 a week for a year along with other prizes. "We are honored to work together with Griffin Health to help increase vaccination rates in our community. Vaccination is one of the best tools available to help slow the pandemic. It's safe, it's free, and now, you can potentially win $100 a week for a year just for doing all that you can to protect yourself and others," said Patrick Madden, Vice President of Shopping Center Management. No appointments are required, walk-ins welcome to get your COVID-19 vaccine at Westfield Trumbull on select days/times through Sunday, October 31, 2021. "Griffin Health is pleased to partner with Westfield Trumbull and the Connecticut Department of Public Health in providing free COVID-19 vaccinations. Our commitment to improve the health and wellbeing of our community and state is what fuels Griffin's aggressive vaccination effort that consists of numerous community based clinics, mobile vaccination teams, and mass vaccination sites intended to make vaccination highly accessible across Connecticut," said Patrick Charmel, President and CEO of Griffin Health. Entering to win is easy to do at a participating vaccination site. To find out which clinics are participating in their neighborhood, consumers can scan a QR code that appears on any digital screen featuring a "Get Vaccinated" message at Westfield Trumbull; or they can go to Westfield Trumbull's Facebook or Instagram channel. One grand prize of a $100 a week for a year will be awarded every week until October 22, along with four, $500 Westfield gift cards and eight, $100 Westfield gift cards. Westfield is also partnering with the NALEO Educational Fund and the Conference of National Black Churches (CNBC) to reach diverse communities through a national PSA campaign directed towards those that may be hesitant about getting vaccinated. The PSA will run for eight 8 weeks on eye level and large format digital screens at Westfield centers in California, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, and Washington. Westfield's efforts to increase vaccination rates is a part of the company's ongoing #WestfieldCares program first launched in April 2020 in response to the global Covid-19 pandemic. The initiative aims to help some of the most vulnerable populations in the communities where it operates, including making monetary and in-kind donations to local organizations that serve groups including those experiencing homelessness, economically disadvantaged families, seniors, and children.
