NAUGATUCK, CT — California-based TRITEC Americas, LLC, has applied to place solar energy panels in Naugatuck, reported Citizen's News. Plans call for the installation of more than 3,000 solar panels on 5 acres on Bosco Drive in Naugatuck, and if approved, it would power about 164 homes. In addition to Naugatuck, the company is also looking to build a similar but slightly smaller solar energy farm in Beacon Falls. The Naugatuck Zoning Commission has scheduled a hearing on the application for Oct. 20. Read the Citizen's News story.
