Description

Press release from Hamden Public Library: Oct. 6, 2021 For some people, October is the month to think about magic and curses. This month's book selection will satisfy the need to dive into the thrills of the month. It even has a New England connection as the protagonist journeys to Salem. Please join us on Zoom to discuss the book "Magic Lessons" by Alice Hoffman on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. In her review of the book in the October 1, 2020 edition of the Boston Globe, Jeffrey Ann Goudie writes, "Hoffman writes deftly, and often beautifully, about nature, and she can plot like, well, a witch, casting a spell on her reader to flip pages, reading ahead for plot twists. 'Magic Lessons' is a compelling reminder of the past, which as it turns out, is not distant enough from the present." Please sign up in advance for this meeting. If you have questions about Zoom check our website for information. Copies are available at the Miller Library. If you do not have a library card, and you are a Town of Hamden resident, you can obtain one at the Miller Library or the branches. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Questions? Please contact us by either emailing us at [email protected], or call us at 203-287-2680. This press release was produced by Hamden Public Library. The views expressed here are the author's own.
