Job details: Onsite maintenance and repair at local properties from 8am-5pm M-F, plus occasional after hours repairs. $20 hourly. Description: Nicholson Properties is looking for a Maintenance Specialist to manage the routine maintenance and repair of residential and commercial properties in Olympia, WA, and occasionally in Centralia, WA. Examples of routine maintenance would include mowing lawns, paint touch-ups, replacing lightbulbs, industrial sweeping, and occasional window cleaning. Examples of repair would be wall and ceiling repair, fixing appliances, repairing blinds, minor plumbing jobs such as fixing sinks or toilets, installing small AC units, and replacing flooring. The maintenance specialist will also be making trips to stores such as Home Depot and supermarkets to restock short-term rental amenities and purchase items for repairs. About the Company: Nicholson Properties' residential properties consist of both long-term and short-term rentals. The commercial properties include office buildings and fitness facilities. Our Maintenance Specialist will communicate regularly with the property manager, the owner, and short-term rental cohosts. In some instances, the maintenance specialist may speak directly with guests at short-term or long-term rental properties. The maintenance specialist ensures that the properties are running smoothly and are in good shape. Skills: You will excel in this position if you are handy with tools, friendly, and proactive about observing when areas need maintenance or repair. We are looking for a self-starting problem solver with a positive attitude. Requirements: High school diploma, valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and smart phone. We ask that our hire regularly checks emails and texts on phone, is comfortable taking and sending photos via phone, and can learn to manage the AirBnb app on their phone. Being able to climb stairs and lift 40 pounds is another must.
