Good morning, people of Burlington! Danielle Fallon here with the Thursday Burlington Daily. First, today's weather: Partly sunny and nice. High: 70 Low: 53. Here are the top stories today in Burlington: The University of Vermont recently received a big boost from the USDA's Organic Agriculture Program to study an unlikely pairing: seaweed and dairy cows. While studies show seaweed has the potential to reduce dairy cows' methane emissions, different species have different nutritional values that haven't yet been fully explored. In July, the Burlington Business Association created the safety escort program to help overnight workers feel safe while walking to their cars. Since there was limited demand for the program as it stood, the BBA ended up using those services as "safety ambassadors" who could respond to low-level incidents downtown quickly. (Local 22/44 News)Installations at the Fleming Museum of Art have been overhauled to address concerns over racial equity, while at the same time removing pieces that have been deemed less inclusive or problematic.
