Press release from the Somerset County Government: 10/05/2021 5:08 PM Somerset County Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson encourages residents to take advantage of the upcoming online auction of surplus property.  The auction starts at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, and will close at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13. The eclectic mix of items to be sold includes cars, pickups, buses, dump trucks and other vehicles, lawn and garden equipment, snowplows, automotive parts, office equipment and more. A list of auction items, along with terms and conditions of sale, is available at https://bit.ly/FallSurplus21.  Photos of items are expected to be posted on the GovDeals website at www.govdeals.com/somersetcounty by Wednesday, Oct. 6.  Inspection is strongly recommended. Items may be inspected Friday, Oct. 8, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 9, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South County Public Works Facility, located at 410 Roycefield Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844. All property will be sold as-is, where-is. There is a buyer's premium of 10%; however, there are no registration fees charged by the auction company. Visit www.govdeals.com for details. Payment is due within 24 hours of notification.  Items purchased must be removed by 2 p.m. on Oct. 29. The buyer is responsible for all loading and transporting of property.
